Question 1

How much does it cost to hire a forklift in Bulawayo?

Accepted Answer

Hire rates depend on the type of forklift, the hire period and any additional services like delivery. A standard counterbalance forklift on a daily rate will cost less per day on a weekly booking, and monthly or contract rates are lower again. Contact us with your requirements for a specific quote.

Question 2

Are there any hidden fees I should be aware of?

Accepted Answer

No. The price we quote covers the equipment hire for the agreed period. Delivery and collection charges are quoted separately and upfront. Fuel is your responsibility during the hire period. There are no administration fees, weekend surcharges or penalty clauses.

Question 3

Do you offer discounted rates for longer hire periods?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Weekly rates are lower per day than daily rates, and monthly or contract rates are lower still. If you are hiring for more than a month, a long-term lease will usually be the most cost-effective option.

Question 4

What is the minimum hire period?

Accepted Answer

The minimum hire period for short-term rentals is one full day. For long-term leases, the minimum contract term is three months.

Question 5

Can I extend my hire period if I need the forklift longer?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Let us know before the agreed return date and we will extend the hire. If the extension is significant, we may adjust the rate to reflect a longer booking period, which typically works in your favour.

Question 6

What happens if I return the forklift early?

Accepted Answer

For daily and weekly hires, you are charged for the agreed period. For monthly and contract leases, early termination terms depend on the contract. We will discuss this with you before you sign up.

Question 7

Do I need a forklift licence to hire equipment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The person operating the forklift must hold a valid forklift operator licence or certificate of competence, in line with Zimbabwean workplace safety regulations. We do not provide operator training directly but can recommend accredited providers in Bulawayo.

Question 8

What types of forklifts do you have available?

Accepted Answer

We supply counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, rough terrain forklifts, pallet trucks, narrow aisle units and telehandlers. Each type suits different applications. If you are not sure which one fits your job, describe your needs and we will recommend the right machine.

Question 9

Are the forklifts maintained before delivery?

Accepted Answer

Every forklift is inspected and serviced before it leaves for a hire job. We check brakes, hydraulics, tyres, lights and all safety devices. A pre-delivery inspection certificate is available on request.

Question 10

Do you deliver forklifts to my location in Bulawayo?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We deliver and collect all equipment across Bulawayo, including Kelvin, Donnington, Belmont, Lobengula and the wider metropolitan area. Delivery charges depend on the distance and are quoted upfront.

Question 11

How quickly can a forklift be delivered?

Accepted Answer

For standard equipment that is in stock, we can usually deliver within Bulawayo on the same day or the next working day. Specialised units or high-demand periods may take slightly longer. Let us know your timeline and we will confirm what is possible.

Question 12

What if the forklift breaks down during the hire?

Accepted Answer

Contact us straight away. We provide breakdown support across Bulawayo and will either repair the unit on site or replace it with an equivalent machine so your operation is not stopped for longer than necessary.
